Complex high speed mathematical calculations require high-performance computers (HPCs), which are primarily developed for scientific computing needs. Junkosha has developed a fluoropolymer with low relative permittivity and conductive materials ideally suited to the transmission of large data volumes. High bit rate digital signal transmission cables made with these materials offer superb electrical characteristics and allow high-density wiring, thereby helping to achieve long-term reliability, energy savings, and the high-speed computational required by HPCs. These products and clean, high-flexibility cooling hoses that offer heat resistance and generate minimal effluent were recently introduced in RIKEN’s K (Kei) supercomputer, capable of crunching enormous data volumes. The K computer led the TOP500 supercomputer performance rankings for two consecutive years.
